What the scan
can tell you.
A CAC test uses CT imaging to measure calcium-containing plaque in the arteries that supply the heart. The result is reported as a calcium score.
The score is one part of a wider assessment. It does not show every kind of plaque or replace a conversation about symptoms, history, and other risk factors. Testing involves radiation and is not recommended for everyone.
A clinician can explain whether testing is appropriate and how a result could affect decisions. This demonstration does not offer scans or confirm local testing arrangements.
