The second search is the costly one.
You spot a useful link during the day. It goes into a chat, a draft or a screenshot. By the time you need it, remembering where you put it becomes another task.
Choose one front door.
A private save-it address and paste-to-save give useful things a repeatable destination. The aim is not to organize your entire life at once. Start with the next thing you would otherwise leave loose.
Leave yourself a clue.
A folder, +tag or short note can explain why the item mattered. A saved link without context is harder to recognize weeks later.
Come back with a purpose.
Use New for things that still need attention, Done for what you have dealt with and Archived for what belongs out of the way. Search is more useful when the collection has a little context.
